Field Operators    Catapult Solutions is a company of good, hard-working people dedicated to providing excellent service and top-quality products for its customers through leading edge technology.   Catapult Solutions is currently hiring Field Operators in Texas to join our team.   Description: Reporting to the Field Service Manager, the job of the Field Operator is to operate our wellsite frac sand storage systems.   Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Field Operator include, but are not limited to: - Operation of a wellsite proppant storage system. - Transloading and material management. - Hands on operation of all equipment and maintenance. - Working and traveling to various well sites, sand mines, and transloading facilities. - Mechanical understanding of equipment. - Unloading of hauling trailers. - Balancing of storage volumes and reporting. - Ability to provide the proper delivery of mix to the blender equipment. - Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required. - Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas. - Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives, as required. - Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. - Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections. - Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others. Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:   - Experience in Oil and Gas field operations. - Experience operating heavy equipment is an asset. - Willingness to live in camps & hotels. - Work 12-hour shifts- Day or Night. - Excellent problem solving skills required. - Good analytical ability and manual dexterity. - Must have proven ability to work in tight spots and heights. - Good communication and interpersonal skills required. - Must be a team player. - Ability to work in physically demanding conditions. - Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner. - CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support. - Successful candidates are required to have personal reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. - Candidates must successfully complete orientation. That's why Sil Industrial Minerals is Western Canada's leader in industrial sands, blasting abrasives and equipment.   Job Description: Sureway Construction Group Ltd. is a multi-faceted organization which includes extensive sand and gravel land reserves held under the Yellowhead Aggregates and Sil Industrial Minerals corporate groups.  Sil Industrial Minerals is seeking a full-time Senior Land and Environment Coordinator. Reporting to the Land and Environment Manager, this position is responsible for the various duties and responsibilities associated with planning, permitting, compliance, monitoring and reclamation of our pit operations.   Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Senior Land and Environment Coordinator include, but are not limited to: - Planning, coordination, execution and senior review of reclamation assessments, pre-disturbance assessments and wetland assessments. - Planning and coordination of reclamation programs. - Completion of Code of Practice for Pits registration applications, Conservation and Reclamation Business Plans and Water Act applications. - Completion of county Development Permit Applications. - Involved in compliance and monitoring requirements associated with pit operations, including water sampling, piezometer measurements, pit dewatering volume tracking and complete of annual reports for provincial regulators (Alberta Environment and Parks). - Assist in the public consultation processes associated with our operations, including attending public hearings and conducting landowner consultations. - Provide mentorship and training for junior and intermediate staff.   Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience: - A university degree in environmental sciences. - Professional designation with the Alberta Institute of Agrologists or Alberta Society of Professional Biologists is a requirement. - A minimum of 5 years of professional experience. - A minimum of 2 years of project management experience with a focused background in environmental site assessment and planning/permitting. - Strong knowledge of Alberta Environment and Parks regulations and guidelines. - Experience should include managing environmental site assessment programs, including reclamation assessments, pre-disturbance assessments and wetland assessments. - Experience in the completion of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment projects is an asset. - Experience and knowledge of the mining industry is an asset. - Consistency and dependability in task completion. - Strong communication and leadership skills. - Strong analytical and technical writing skills. - Excellent organizational skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project team environment - Successful candidates are required to have personal reliable transportation, valid driver’s license. - Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing which would be swab or urine depending on site requirements. - Candidates must successfully complete Sil Industrial Minerals Orientation, Site Specific Orientation as well as any other fit for work testing.   Sil Industrial Mineralsis an equal opportunity employer. We offer a friendly, fast paced environment with plenty of room for career advancement, great benefits, and a strong team of professionals.   Sureway Construction Group of Companies is currently hiring Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics in Edmonton.   Description: Reporting to the Foreman, the job of the Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic is to repair and maintain all equipment in a safe, timely and cost efficient manner.   Responsibilities: - Ensuring that all equipment is continually maintained at the highest standards, and in a timely manner, resulting in proper function and availability. - Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure. - Ability to read/trouble shoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics.   - Perform preventative, planned and unplanned maintenance, repair, overhaul, trouble shoot and test mechanical and electronic equipment according to company standards. - Promote image and safety awareness; follow policies and procedures on quality, health, safety and environment. - Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics. CATERPILLAR EXPERIENCE required: - D6 - D10 dozer experience - 20 - 85 metric ton excavator experience - 14 - 16 series grader experience - 627 and or 657 scraper experience KOMATSU EXPERIENCE required: - D85 - D375 dozer experience - Pc 200 - Pc 1250 excavator experience - Wa 200 - Wa 600 loader experience - CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support - Ability to work in physically demanding conditions. - Successful candidates are required to have reliable personal transportation, a valid driver’s license (non GDL), and must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. - Candidates may be subject to criminal record checks depending on site requirements.
